UMACC is part of the University of Michigan Captive Consortium Internship Program, which also includes the University Center for the Child and the Family, McAuley Health Center, The Psychological Clinic, and Counseling and Psychological Services Center. The Captive Consortium is an APA approved program designed to enable University of Michigan clinical psychology graduate students to complete their clinical training, while continuing to focus on research and remain in close proximity to their research mentor. UMACC has licensed clinical psychologists on staff, with expertise in diagnosis and intervention of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, who supervise the clinical training of Interns. Interns will learn to administer and code standardized diagnostic measures, administer and score developmental and cognitive tests, complete thorough diagnostic assessments, learn consultation skills, and lead social groups and provide follow up intervention services.
