ADI-R Booster Training

Not Currently Offered

University of Michigan Campus, Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center (UMACC) has “booster” trainings for people who use the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised in research. The goal of this workshop is to address observer drift that often occurs across sites and over time. We would like to promote reliability across research sites and similarity in how the ADI-R is used in research studies.

The workshop involves the following:

  1. Viewing and scoring a full ADI-R administration
  2. Detailed consensus coding discussion, with a focus on coding conventions
  3. Video clips of difficult-to-code items and responses
  4. Presentation on current research on the ADI-R

Participants leave the training with:

  1. A DVD copy of full ADI-R administrations about typically-developing and non-autistic developmentally-disabled children or adults, including copies of the protocol notes and scoring
  2. Updated Powerpoint slides on current research on the ADI-R
