Follow-up Services
UMACC offers follow-up intervention to children and families. Follow-up services include social skills groups for adolescents and adults with high functioning autism/Asperger's Syndrome, individual counseling for adolescents and adults, parent or co-therapist treatment sessions for children, and mom and toddler groups for toddlers with communication difficulties.
UMACC staff recognizes that children with ASDs require intensive intervention services that are often delivered through community programs, such as school systems and community mental health centers. UMACC staff provides consultation to community programs, at a parents or programs request.
