The Today Show's Follow-up: A Family's Marathon with Autism

May 15, 2006

Last January, The Today Show's film crew visited UMACC to follow a family as their child, Tommy, underwent testing for diagnosis of autism. This segment, which included an interview with UMACC's director, Catherine Lord, was part of a 10-part series on autism that aired in February 2005. In April 2006, The Today Show returned to Michigan to follow up with Tommy's family and to see his progress. The segment, which aired May 15, includes a visit to UMACC for a re-evaluation with Dr. Lord, as well as visits to Tommy's preschool and private ABA therapy sessions.
